Plastic Free Breakfast
Four Children from Damers Eco Crew represented the school at a Dorchester Chamber for Business Plastic Free Breakfast Event. The children spoke in front of 85 people including Matt Prosser, CEO Dorset Council, Karyn Punchard, Director of Dorset Waste Partnership and Ben Murphy Poundbury Estate Director. They asked businesses to give up three single use plastic or find alternatives as part of their Surfer Against Sewage Plastic Free Dorchester Campaign. They also asked them to sign up to Refill Dorset.
The Boomerang Bag was also launched at this event. The first making event will be held at the Dorford Centre on Wednesday 27th February at 6pm – 9pm. There will be more information about other dates and places where you can go and help make these bags. We will also be releasing the bag instructions so you can take material home and have a go with your child. Thank you for dropping off material at the Naked Brace they have been overwhelmed by the amount of material they have received.
