Proudly Presenting the Damers Butterfly Award!

butterfly-awardThis week saw the introduction of a brand new whole-school award – the Damers Butterfly Award. Each week we will be looking at why our butterfly symbol is so important for our school.

Our focus this week has been on the fact that our butterfly does not have symmetrical wings and how this reminds us that all of us are different and none of us are made in exactly the same way. We have been on the look out for children who recognise the differences in others but still treat everyone they meet with kindness, dignity and respect – whatever shape their wings may be!

Our first very worthy winner is Casey Sivier from Meadow 4 – well done Casey!
