We love writing at Damers and have some budding authors in the making!  We follow the Literacy Tree for writing, and it has inspired us. We want our pupils to feel like they have a voice and the tools with which to share thoughts, ideas and learn well in other subjects.

Our group Awesome Authors began when we entered the Domvs annual story competition.  We wrote some incredible stories and were delighted that three pupils were shortlisted.  We attended the presentation evening and Lillemo won the whole competition!  

The winning prize was presented by Sir Julian Fellowes at the Dorchester Museum - here is Lillemo receiving the esteemed award:
